Ray was born to Lester Houghton and Eva Triplet on June 25, 1938 in Rochester, Indiana. He was married on Sept. 13, 1959 at Mt. Vernon, Indiana to Norma E. Kuebler.

Ray is survived by his wife - Norma Houghton of Culver, Indiana, son - Lee (Karen) Houghton of Culver, Indiana, daughter - Lori (Jr.) Hines of Grovertown, Indiana, granddaughters - Rainbow & Taylor Hines of Grovertown, Indiana, 4 sisters, 8 Step-Grandchildren, and 12 Step-Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father - Lester Houghton, mother - Eva Houghton, grandson, Kenneth Lee Hack III, and 1 brother.

Mrs. Houghton was a licensed practical nurse and had worked at local nursing homes. She was born Oct 11, 1916, in Starke County. In 1932, she maiTied Roger Houghton. He died Feb. 24,1974. Sur viving are a daughter, Tennie Sue Jones of Plymouth; two sons, Alan L of Manhattan, Kan., and Teny R of Downey, Call!: 16 grandchildren; 20 great-ffandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Hawkins of Elkhart and Stella Kenworthy of Florida. A son, Galen L, died in 1989.
