Leta F. Houghton, 87, of Culver, Indiana, died at 8:45PM on Saturday, December 27, 2003, at St. Joseph Regional Med. Center, Plymouth, Indiana.

Leta was born on October 9, 1916, to Alfred and Myrtle (Hughes) Kingery at Galveston, Indiana. She was married on April 8, 1934, at Culver, Indiana, to Forrest F. Houghton. He preceded in death on September 28, 1997.

She is survived by her loving son: Dr. John W. Houghton of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and sister-in-law: Jean Kingery of Flora, Indiana.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, December 30, 2003, from 2:00 - 8:00PM, with Finney-Shilling VFW Ladies Auxiliary services at 6:00PM, at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver, Indiana. Dr. John W. Houghton will officiate services on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at 11:00AM at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Culver, Indiana. Interment will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Culver Golden Agers, c/o Ruth Walker, 912 Lakeshore Drive, Culver, Indiana 46511.
