Mrs. Laura Belle Houghton, 81, formerly of Florence, Ore., died yesterday evening at a local nursing home. She had been in this area 8 1/2 months. Survivors include a son and two daughters here. Jesse Houghton, Jr; Mrs. Myrtle Wilson, and Mrs. Gertrude Bernhardt. Mrs. Houghton had lived at Florence 48 years before coming here. She was married to Jesse Houghton, sr., March 17, 1895, at Hay (Whitman county). She was born Dec. 7, 1874, in Other survivors include her hus at the family home in Flor- two sons, Gilbert and Herbert Houghton, both of Florence; daughters. Mrs. Martha Chapman , Florence, and Mrs. Ruby Moore. Davis. Calif; 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren
