Oscar A. Houghlon, 69, of 1555 5th St., Rensselacr, a retired employee of the Niagara-Mohawk Power Corp. and a charter men ber of Chemical Fire Co., ol Rensselaer, died today at his residence after a long illness. Hle was born in the Town of East Greenbush but had lived in Rensselaer for a number of years. He was a former president of Chemical 4 Firc Co., and held several other offiees in that com- pany for the last 45 years, He formerly was employer in the power station of the former Albany Southern Railroad Co., in Rensselaer. At the time of his death he was employed by the City of Rensselaer as a school policeman at Washington avenue and 4th street. He Was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and of the Church Council oí that church. Survivors are his wife the former Eva K. Iteynolds, a son, Kenneth R. Houghton, Abany, and a brother, Fred R, Houghton, West Sand Lake. The funeral will he held from the W. J. Rockefeller Funeral home, 8 Second Ave., Renssclacr, Tuesday al 2 p.m. Rev. Ellis Kretschmar pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery. Members ol Chemical 4 headed by Francis Reilly, president, will visit the funeral home Monday at 7:15 pm io conduct services.
