ResearchCindy Johnstone: I found nothing to dispute that my Polly Urine that married Ambrose Renell was the daughter of Jonathan Urane/Urine and Mahitable Elliott. As a matter of fact I found in Vermont that my Ambrose Renell was living in a part of Orleans Co, Vermont that had land patents that had been bought by many different Elliotts. There was definitely a family connection there.

The fact that my Ambrose was living with an Emily later on in the 1840s does not mean my Polly had died. She very well could have divorced or left him. She was still living in Feb 1857 when her sister's affidavit was written. The sister Martha had her listed as a Urin, but I don't believe she was. I could find no trace of a Polly Urin in 1850 or 1860. Nor a Polly Renell. I believe Polly remarried another whose name is lost to history at this time. Martha and sister Sally were still Uran's, but their sister Hannah was not.

I could find no marriage record for Ambrose marrying an Emily, so she very well could have been a common law wife.

On the pension papers, Jonathan's wife was listed as insane! Maybe it ran in the family for Polly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pension paper lists Polly as Polly not Paoly. I have another paper that confirms Mahitable's death by daughter Martha I found at the court records.

ParentsDGranddaughter Adria D Sorensen, Aug 2019: I’d like to contribute information for the missing family members of Candice Frisk. Candice’s mother is Lorraine G. Frisk. Lorraine was born on June 7, 1922. Lorraine G. Frisk passed away on Feburary 1, 2013 in Minneapolis at the age of 90. Candice Frisk also has a younger sister named Donelle Schultz, who married Tripp Schultz. Unfortunately, Tripp Schultz passed away ( I believe he passed after Lorraine G. Frisk later on that same year in 2013 but I’m unsure about the year of Tripp’s death and do not know Tripp’s death date). However, I do know that Donelle was born on October 22, 1956. Also, Lorraine G. Frisk was living in South Minneapolis when she had passed away on Feb 1, 2013.
Candice’s father was born September 6, 1920.
