ResearchThe William J. Uran of Cuming Co., NE looks very much like the son of Jonathan and Sally, but so does the William James of Stearns Co., MN (1875) with wife Emily and children Frank b. 1871, Cora Ellen b. 23 jun 1872. However, Sally Haven Uran notes in a letter (1869) that William had not yet married, ruling out the William J. in the 1870 NE census. The identity of the latter is still not understood.1
