This passage occurs in Camden's Brittanica
" Hence the Dan River runs by Bostock ( formerly Botestock ) the ancient seat of the noble and knightly family of BOSTOCKS, which by the marriage of Anne, the only daughter of Ralph, son and heir of Sir Adam de Bostock, Knight, went together with a vast estate to John Savage ." According to earwaker ( p. 189 ), Bostock was in Davenham parish. [:CR:].
