| Marriage | Hugh Magnus Unknown and Hawisa Unknown were married.3,1 |
| Residence | He resided Hugh (II) Magnus of France (French: Hugues le Grand) (1007 – 17 September 1025) was co-King of France under his father, Robert II, from 1017 until his death in 1025. He was a member of the House of Capet, a son of Robert II by his third wife, Constance of Arles.
The first Capetian King of France, Hugh Capet, had ensured his family's succession to the throne by having his son, Robert II, crowned and accepted as King during his own lifetime; father and son had ruled together as King thenceforth until Hugh Capet's death. Robert II, when his son was old enough, determined to do the same. Hugh Magnus was thus crowned King of France on 19 June 1017, and thenceforth ruled beside his father. However, when older, he rebelled against Robert.
Hugh is said to have been married (or betrothed) before his death to Halwisa (Hawisa?) or Elisabeth d'Avoye (the daughter of Henri l'Oiseteur), who later married Hamon Dapifer Crevecouer, Count of Corbeil.
Hugh died, perhaps of a fall from his horse, at Compiègne in 1025/1026 while preparing a rebellion against his father, aged around 18 years old.1 |

| Also Known As | Louisa Matilda Buck was also known as Louisa Matilda Snelson. |
| Biography | Mr Snelson was followed to Palmerston by his wife, who came up river by boat to Ngawhakarau and then by Maori canoe to Hokowhitu. She was accompanied by Matilda Montgomery a girl of sixteen years who had lived with the Snelsons since 1868. Matilda married John Edmund Perrin on 9 February 1874 after having been for some years the only single girl living between Rangitikei and Foxton. As there was no minister in Palmerston at that time, they rode on horseback ( some 40 kilometres or so ) to Marton where they were married by the Rev Thomas Reeve. Mr Perrin was a partner in the building firm of Meyrick, Perrin & Oakley according to Nancy Smith's book " And So We Began " ( 1971 ). Mrs. Snelson collected old socks and stockings to make mittens for allied soldiers and baby clothes for Belgian women during the 1st World War. Louisa gave a family bible to her nephew Frank Buck, who was the postmaster at Palmerston. This is now in the possession of Marion Simmons ( nee Grey ) in Palmerston. The original handwritten inscription reads " Henrietta Snelson. The gift of Mrs. Parkinson. May 30th 1837. " Then on the preceding page is written " George M. Snelson With his sister Hetty's love July the Sixth 1865." ( his wedding day ! On the blank page at the back of the New testament title page is written the details and date of their marriage, the time and date of the birth and death of their two children, and later the time, date and details of George's death and burial. This probably means that it is Louisa's handwriting.
They lived in Fitzherbert Street, and had two children - Frances, who died aged one, and George who died aged two. Their adopted daughter was Matilda Montgomery (later Perrin). Louisa was extensively involved in all aspects of life in Palmerston North including fundraising efforts for Palmerston North Hospital. She died 14 December 1919 aged 75 in Whanganui and is buried in the Terrace End Cemetery. Her obituary in the Manawatū Daily Times described her as the "Mother of Palmerston". Louisa was one of approximately 523 Palmerston North women who signed the Suffrage petition, submitted to Parliament in 1893. |
