He was born May 2, 1824 and had lived nearly his whole life in this town where he was well known. He was a blacksmith by trade. In 1845 he married Margaret Benton of Galatin, Columbia county. Six children survive him Miss Mary Traver, Mrs. Elizabeth Hover, and Mrs. Martha Lasher, Rev. Stephen Traver of Long Island, Charles Traver and Martin Traver. The funeral will be held Saturday at one o'clock at his horns on West Market street and the burial will he at the cemetery of St. Peter's Stone church.
