     Benjamin was born on 11 August 1770 in Westchester County, New York (colony).1 Alternatively, he was born circa 1769 in New York (colony) according to the 1851 census.2 Benjamin married Kesia Springer.3,2
     He died on 19 January 1857 in Delaware, Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada, at age 86.1 Benjamin Lockwood was buried in Tiffany Pioneer Cemetery, Delaware Twp., Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.1

     The following biographical information is from my personal research, October 2016:
According to his son Benjamin's Find A Grave memorial page, he was a "Loyalist Sergeant."

The United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada includes him as a "Proven" Loyalist who settled in the "Home District"

He was a Quarter-Master in the King's American Regiment, Cavalry according to the Roll of Officers of the British American or Loyalist Corps published in 1899.1,2,3

     Kesia Springer was also known as Keziah Lockwood.2
