     Her name was transcribed as Wilamina Jones.9 Her name was also recorded as Wilhamina Becker.4

The following biographical fact was included in the book From Prairie Trails to Pavement published in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, 1982:
Minnie came west with her father in 1911 to housekeep for her brother August who lived in the Hazlet district. Before getting married she worked as a cook in Gull Lake's first hospital and also worked for George Tiffin in the restaurant.8


The following biographical fact was included in the book Hazlet and Its Heritage, vol. II published in Hazlet, Saskatchewan, 1987:
In 1910 August decided to go west and homesteaded on, and then worked the pre-emption of E1/2 2-17-19.

In 1911, his sister, Minnie was brought out to keep house for August.10

     30 July 2011 Research notes:
Aurena may be the same child as Wilhelmina. Aurena was listed in the 1901 census, but Wilhelmina was not. Conversely, Minnie was listed in the 1911 census, but Aurena was not. They were young enough that they both should have been enumerated with the family, if they were siblings.11

     In the obituary of Charles Stephon Jones who died 11 December 2013, his mother, Wilhemena Jones was listed as predeceased.12

     Minnie Becker appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario in the household of her parents, William Becker and Tena Becker.3
     Minnie Jones and Henry W Jones appeared on the 1916 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces, Gull Lake, RM of Gull Lake No. 139, Saskatchewan, enumerated 1 June 1916, enumerated as a farmer. Their son Wilfred was listed as living with them.5
     Minnie appeared on the 1921 Canadian Census of RM of Gull Lake No. 139, Saskatchewan, in the household of Stephen Jones.6

Impressive tribute was paid at the funeral on Friday afternoon, Sept. 29, to the memory of Gordon Allan Becker, 23-year-old Arnprior youth who met an untimely death as a result of a head-on motor collision near Hamilton, Ont., on Sunday last.

Deceased accompanied by his brother Edmund and R. J. Cunningham, of Ottawa and Arnprior was returning to Detroit, following a visit paid at his parental home here.

Rev. H. C. Heise, of Flint, Mich., an uncle of deceased, conducted the services assisted by Eldon Becker and Alex Hood, at the home of his mother, Mrs. Jack Lascelles, 84 Russell street, and interment was made in the Arnprior cemetery. The wealth of floral offerings and condolences of sympathy received by the bereaved family marked the high esteem, in which Mr. Becker was held in this community.

The pallbearers were his three brothers, Walter, Edmund, and Alex; Frank Verch, Harold Verch, and Gordon Kuehl.

Gordon Becker was born in Arnprior, where he received his elementary school training and later was employed in the McLaughlin Bros. mills here, and had spent the past four or five years in Detroit.

They were renting their home. The questions related to his immigration to the US and naturalization were not answered.. Their children Hilda, Albert and William were listed as living with them.7

Meta Francis Becker and William Becker appeared on the 1930 U.S. Federal Census of Friend, Saline County, Nebraska, enumerated 2 April 1930, enumerated as the Minister of a Congregational Church. On June 26, 1944, during a raid on the Floridorf Oil Refinery at Vienna, 2nd Lt. William E Becker's plane, a B24-H was struck by anti-aircraft fire and went down south-west of Vienna. All 11 of the crew bailed out. He was a prisoner of war in Austria and eventually was repatriated. His serial number was 0-734998. His next of kin was listed as Rev. William (NMI - no middle initial) Becker, #67, Ogallala, Nebraska.11,12

The following biographical information was shared in an email from Mike Reid, March 2016:
Lieut. William E Becker was the Navigator on a B24H bomber that was shot down over Floridsdorf, Wien, Austria, near Vienna, on 26 Jun 1944 while on a mission. He and all the crew members bailed out, survived, were taken prisoners by the Germans and survived. They were repatriated after the war on 19 Jul 1945.16
