     He died on 29 October 1924 at Ontario, Canada, at age 61.4,1 John Bloedow was buried at Emmanuel (aka Immanuel) Baptist Cemetery, Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.1

     John Bloedow and Henryetta Bloedow appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of an unknown place , enumerated 31 March 1901, enumerated as a "Babtist" and a farmer. Their son Fred was listed as living with them.2
     John Bloedow immigrated in 1880 or 1881 to Canada from Germany.4,2 He was listed as a witness to the marriage of William Verch and Guste Kuhl on 2 July 1885; according to Ontario Marriage Registration 010425.5 John Bladow was listed as a witness to the marriage of Fred William Blodow and Mary Ristow on 9 February 1897.6
     The following obituary appeared 21 November 1924 :
John Bloedow, an esteemed citizen of Killaloe, passed away quietly on Oct. 29, at the age of 61 years. In 180 (sic - assume 1880) he came to this country and has lived n the vicinity of Killaloe ever since. He was united in marriage to Henrietta Ristau in 1890. In the same year he became a member of the Killaloe Baptist Church, of which he has remained a faithful member to this day. He was also much interested in the welfare of his country and held the office of Councillor for the townships of Hagarty & Richards for a number of years. His beloved wife, one son, two grandchildren, six brothers and two sisters mourn his death.4
