It is with love and sadness that her family announce the passing of Mabel on October 15. Mabel was predeceased by husband John; grandson Wayne Peters; parents David and Christina Borth; brothers David and Edward and sisters Maggie, Elizabeth, Emma, Martha, Christina and Elsie. Mabel is survived by daughters Myrna Peters and Sharon (Bruce) Pendleton; grandchildren Geoffrey (Sheryl) Summach and Wendy Peters as well as sisters Ella (Gerald) Toovey and Tillie (Palmer) Hanson. She was an member of the UCW of Westminster United Church, sang in the church choir for many years, was bridge player, and of course the hostess of countless gatherings of family and friends at her home in Kamsack and cottage at Madge Lake. She prided herself on being a loyal and supportive friend. A memorial service was held Sunday, October 17 at Meewasin Valley United Church. A special tribute will be held in Kamsack at a later date. Special thank you to the ICU staff at Saskatoon City Hospital for their care and support during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation, 701 Queen Street, Saskatoon, SK S7K 0M7. Email condolences may be sent to mail@saskatoonfuneralhome.com.
