The following obituary appeared 11 April 1930:
WOODLAWN.--The death of Mrs. James Ronsell (sic), of Juniata, which occurred in the City Hospital, Saskatoon, cast a gloom over the whole of this district. The funeral service was held in St. John's Church, Kinley, Rev. T. Murray of Perdue, officiating. Special hymns were sung at the church and graveside. The large gathering attending was a testimony to the high esteem held for the deceased.
Mrs. Ronsell was born at Ahmic Harbor, Ontario, in 1890. She was married at Heward, Sask., to Mr. Ronsell, when they settled in the Avondale district near Juniata. During the pioneer years, Mrs. Ronsell made a large circle of friends with her willingness to help. Her passing will be keenly felt in church and social life. She was a teacher in the Sunday school. She is survived by her husband and four children, Lillian, Burton, Eileen and Floyd, three sisters and a brother. Pall-bearers were Fred Sumach (sic), Wm. Pilgrim, W. Wellwood, R. R. Lloyd, W. Doeg and Andrew Doeg.
The many floral offerings bore silent testimony ot the esteem and love of her many friends, among which were a beautiful spray from the family. Rev. and Mrs. T. Murray, Perdue, the Fairholme community, St. John's women's auxiliary, Kinley, Avondale Baptist Sunday school, Women's Association, United Church, Kinley, The Avondale United Church ladies aid, and the United Farm Workers of Woodlawn.3
