     She was born circa 1862 at Wallace Twp., Ontario, Canada, according to her marriage registration.2 Alternatively, she was born in 1864 at Palmerston, Ontario, Canada,3 or in 1866 at Palmerston, Ontario, Canada.1 Margaret married Albert Howard Beirnes on 10 August 1893 at Stevens, Cardwell Twp., Muskoka District, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 63153. Cliff Davidson gives their place of marriage as Ace lake.1,4,2
     She died on 6 April 1930 at Saskatchewan, Canada.1,3
     The following selected information is extracted from her obituary. Survivor(s): George Beirnes, Mrs. Frances (sic) Davidson and Mrs. Miners. Her husband, Albert Howard Beirnes was referenced but not by name.3
     Her name was also recorded as Maggie.1
     The following account of the funeral of Margaret Beirnes appeared in the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Saskatoon StarPhoenix 8 April 1930 :
The funeral of one of the original settlers at Juniata took place yesterday when Mrs Margaret Beirnes was buried in the Wheatfield cemetery, Rev. J. W. Cuddeford, of Sutherland, officiating. Mrs. Beirnes, who died last Sunday, was born in 1864 at Palmerston Ontario, and came west with her husband in 1903. They settled on a homestead at Juniata. Mr Beirnes died three years ago. A son, George operates the farm, and two daughters are Mrs. Frances Davidson, of Kinley, and Mrs. Miners, of Saskatoon. Sisters reside at Hanley, Floral, Asquith and Saskatoon. A large crowd assembled for the funeral and many flowers were received. The Beirnes home, situated on the old Battleford trail, is well known to many who have enjoyed hospitality there.3
