In a letter from Lorna Quimby, President of the Peacham Historical Association the following information was provided.

"Moses Watts (1) son of Moses Watts of Londonderry, died July 22, 1829 aged 73. He married Ruth Highlands who died July 30, 1813 "killed by lightning". Children of this marriage were (1) Mary; (2) Margaret; (3) Thomas b. Aug 16 1787, d. Oct 21, 1872 age 85 yrs, 2 mos, 5 days m (1) Jane Bayley (2) Sally Bayley (her sister); Moses b. March 14, 1789, removed Indiana (Watts/Choate notes day he died Sep 6, 1830), m. Polly Thayer Dec 24, 1809, had daughters; and (5) Lyman."

In Bogart's "Peacham, the Story of a Vermont Hill Town" Moses Watts is listed as owing $1.78 to Franklin Fenton for purchases at Fenton's store. The town land records show Moses bought 100 acres of land in 1788. He was living in Londonderry, NH, at the time. The parcel was sold to Thomas Watts in 1814.

Moses is a signer of the "Oath of Allegience" to the Colonies in Londonderry, NH in 1776. He later served in Gilman's Regiment of the New Hampshire Militia as a private receiving 5.8 pounds in Dec 1776 as wages.

From the deed records Moses purchased land, in the sum of 30 Pounds, in Peacham, Orange County, Vt. from a Benjamin Bradely of Concord, NY in 1788. The deed shows that Moses was living in Londonderry, Rockinham County, NH.
