My name is Lawrence J. Currier, Jr. (lcurrier@nycap.rr.com). In researching my Currier family from NH I have discovered that Sarah Coburn, b. abt 1730 married Thomas Currier who lived near the Worthen saw-mill in Chester, NH. She was widowed by 1780 and married Mansfield McDuffee in
1787. I am hoping that you may have some more information pertaining to Sarah and Thomas Currier's marriage and children. As far as we know they had four children:

Thomas Currier, went to Maine.

Ebenezer Currier, who married Dolly Dresser and Nancy Noyes Blaisdell. He was born abt 1760.

Jonathan Currier (my line), married Mary Prescott in 1794 and they had nine children: Betsey, Sally,
Dorothy, Tappan (my line), Ausgood, Hazen, Mary, Hannah and Louisa. Jonathan apparently died in
the 1812 War, on Aug. 22, 1813.

Mary Currier, married a Stinson.

If you have any information regarding any of these Curriers we would appreciate anything you could
share with us.

John D. McFarland married Jane A. Hoisington, daughter of Daniel McDuffee and Laura Ann Renslow, on 26 November 1887 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. It was the second marriage for both spouses.1,4,5

John D. McFarland died on 10 August 1907 at age 54.6 He was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.6
John D. McFarland has also been reported to have been born 19 June 1854.6 He was a laborer in 1887.1

John D. McFarland and Jane A. McFarland appeared on the census of 1900 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, which lists John D. McFarland, 46, born June 1853 in Wisconsin; his wife Jane A. 46, born September 1853 in Iowa; their daughters Mabel, 21, born November 1878 in Kansas, and Lillie, 18, born July 1881 in Iowa; Jane's divorced daughter Edna [Hoisington] Miller, 24, born January 1876 in Iowa; and Edna's son Laurance Miller, 3, born March 1897 in Iowa. Jane had given birth tofive children, three of whom were still living (her son Lawson had died in 1899).2 He was a U.S. mail carrier in 1900.2
