Kathleen Houghton Beloved wife & mother, medical transcriber, 'kind & supportive' Kathleen Houghton (nee Federowsky), 75, of Piscataway, passed away under Hospice Care at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Born in Bayonne and raised in Westfield, Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, John and Vilma (Smolenski) Federowsky and a stepson Ronald W. Houghton. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Ronald C. Houghton; daughters, Suzanne DiBella and her husband Dominick and Heather Fay and her husband John Trimarchi ; stepsons, Jeffrey Houghton and his wife Jo Anna and Eric Houghton and his wife Amanda; sister Nancy Grosso; nieces, Stephanie Hamel and her husband Jaime and Andrea Grosso and 13 grandchildren. Kathleen started her working career as a Lab Technician, then later went on to work as a Medical Transcriber for an Orthopedic practice for over 25 years. Kathleen will be remembered as a strong, kind and supportive mother, grandmother and friend; her kindness to all who knew her and her strong Catholic beliefs. She was a communicant of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Westfield and a member of their Cornerstone Group. Published in The Star-Ledger from May 22 to May 23, 2021.
