Mrs.. Jennie Barr Houghton, who was born at Coshocton, Ohio, April 26, 1853, died at the home of her son, Bert Desch, of Omaha, Neb., March 23, 1914, aged 60 years, 10 months, and 25 days. Mrs. Houghton was a twin sister of i John Barr of this city, and was for a time a resident of Grinnell. At that time she was a member of the .Methodist Church of this city. She was twice married, and by her first marriage two sons were born, both of whom survive her, Bert jjesch, of Omaha, anti John Desch of Central Oitv, Neb- The body 'of the deceased wan brought to Grmneli Tuesda> night, and the funeral services were; held in the home of her brother, John! Barr. Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Frank II. Webster, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Hnz/nvuod cemetery.
