Allentown, PA, USA, William Boyd Haughton, 78, of Lansford, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, in the Penn Hospice, Philadelphia. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Bechtel) Haughton, who died in 2009. He owned and operated the 'Chicken Coop* in Lansford for many years and was also the advertising manager of the former Evening Record, Lansford. Born in Summit Hill, he was a son of the late Edwin and Mary (Boyd) Haughton. He was a member of the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill. Haughton was a graduate of the former Summit Hill High School, the University of New York and Penn State University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, having served in Washington, D.C., as a cryptanalyst for the National Security
Survivors: Two sons, John of Cave Creek, AZ, and Thomas of Lansford; and a sister, Elizabeth Haughton Miller, and her husband, William, of Huntington, WV. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Mitchell Haughton.
