Stephen J. Haughton Sr., 68, a retired sales representative, died Monday at Jeanes Hospital. He lived at 8120 Ferndale St.
Mr. Haughton retired two years ago after 35 years with the Imperial Wall Covering Co. He was an alumnus of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and a charter member of the Abington Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. He also was a member of St. Joseph’s Prep Fathers Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Kathryn Graham; three daughters, Sister Mary de Lourdes of the Religious Sisters of Mercy at Misericordia Hospital, Nancy Maynes and Catherine Morawski; three sons, James B., Stephen J. Jr. and John P; 18 grandchildren, a sister and a brother.
