MRS. HAUGHTON
GADSDEN --- Mrs. Ione Haughton, 93, of Gadsden, formerly of Lanett, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996, at Northside Health Care in Gadsden.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m. at Lanett First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Phares and the Rev. Pete Furio officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett.

Mrs. Haughton is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bill Saxon of Childersburg; her daughter-in-law, Paris Haughton of Baltimore, Md; her sister, Helen Roseberg of Fargo, N. D; her brother, Robert Hollis of Atlanta, Ga; and her grandchildren, Glenn Haughton, Lisa Haughton, Bill Saxon, Dr. Andrea Saxon and Jon Saxon..

Born Feb. 28, 1903, in Walker County, Ala., Mrs. Haugton was a member of Lanett First Unite Methodist Church. She attended the University of Alabama and was a graduate of Auburn University. Mrs. Hauhton taught at Huguley School for 25 years.

The family respectfully declines the gift of flowers and asks that memorials be made to Lanett First United Methodist Church in memory of Mrs. Haughton.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Lanett.
