Covington - Albert R. Haven, 96, of Covington, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He was born in Olney, IL on January 1, 1923 to the late James and Nora Haven. Albert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a foreman for Premier Industries until his retirement with over 45 years of service. Albert was a member of the VFW Post 1484 and attended services at Mother of God Church. He loved Cincinnati Reds Baseball, Westerns and animals, especially cats. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his grandson: Richard Allen. Albert is survived by his beloved companion of 30 years: Mary Lou Wilson; daughters: Norma (Donald) Buttery and Alberta Haven; grandchildren: Debbie (Robert) Prior, Joan Haddix and Doris (Tony) Burke; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren and his cats; Peggy Sue, Boo and Spooky. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. until the Funeral Service at 4:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011.
