I came upon your site while doing a search for my birth mother. I was adopted in 1970 and just received my original birth certificate from the state of Colorado last year. The name listed for my mother is Patricia Lorraine Houghton and her place of birth says Cambridge, MA. I have already done a DNA test through ancestry.com which helped me to locate a half-brother who was also relinquished for adoption by the same mother two years earlier. I wonder if you have any info that might help point us to her? Google and Ancestry searches come up empty.

I believe I have her date of birth: May 14, 1949 This is according to the adoption agency. I was born on September 2, 1970. The agency letter says that both of Patricia's parents were 48 years old at the time of my birth. Her father managed the art department at an insurance company and was Protestant. Her mother was Catholic and both adoptions were through Catholic Charities. She went to St. Mary’s in Orange, NJ for the first pregnancy and it sounds like that was fairly close to home so they may have lived in NJ?

Mine name was Mary Woertman. His was Frank Martin.
