ObituaryJennifer Marie Houghton was born Jennifer Marie Price on August 5, 1976, in Salina, Kansas, to John Calvin and Susan Karlene Price. Jennifer became a Christian when she was four years old, and she devoted her life to spreading the Gospel and the love of Christ. She attended college at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, and she received a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in 1998. On April 27, 2002, Jennifer married Erik Steven Houghton, and moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Jennifer was a devoted and loving wife in her marriage of over 12 wonderful years, during which she had a beautiful son, Jakob Asa Houghton, on June 2, 2010. Jennifer, her husband, and son were members of Florence Street Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where she taught young children about salvation, and her life continued to bear the good fruits of her labor for the Lord. She was always willing with a joyful heart to support anyone in need, regardless of her circumstances. Jennifer was first diagnosed with breast cancer when she was pregnant with her son, and by the Grace of God she was cured and had a healthy baby. She was blessed with five more years of creating lasting memories with her son, family and friends before her cancer returned. On Sunday, March 1, 2015, Jennifer was called home to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She is survived by her father and mother, her two brothers, her husband and son. Funeral Service to be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am Saturday at the Florence Street Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.2

ObituaryJan 30, 1998Manley H. Houghton, 82, Rapid City, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at his residence. He was born Aug. 19, 1915, at Hot Springs, the son of Ray and Dora Houghton. He attended schools in Rapid City, and graduated from
high school in Sioux City, Iowa. After high school, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in Arkansas. He worked at the State Soldiers Home in Hot Springs and in Rapid City for Mills Drug, D&H Garage, and Brown Swiss Dairy. Manley attended South Dakota School of Mines & Technol- ogy from 1939 to 1941. He then worked at Boeing in Seattle and Northrup in Los Angeles. In 1947, he returned to Rapid City and was a materials engineer for the South Da- kota Highway Department until retirement in January 1981. He married Bernice Johnson on Feb. 9, 1955. She preceded him in death in January of 1980. He married Pearl French on Oct. 15, 1982
He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as an officer of the congrega- tion and on various boards, and a member of Canyon Lake and Minne- luzahan senior centers. Golden Age Club, Elks Lodge No 1187, and he was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife. Pearl Houghton, of Rapid City; a stepson, Donald French, and his wife, Diana, of Fort Collins, Colo; three step- daughters, Toni Friesen and her husband, Charles, of Santa Fe, N.M., Vickie Leger of Westminster, Colo., and Mary Lou Paxton and her hus- band, Stan, of Houston; eight stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sis- ter, his parents and his first wife Bernice.
