BREEDEN, PEARL A. (HOUGHTON), 65, wife of Paul Thomas Breeden, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007. Born in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Laura Evelyn Houghton. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Teresa Westbay; and her sister, Myrtle Burgin. Other than her husband, she is survived by her children, Paula Jarrell (Ray), Laura Davis (David) and Terri Baker (Charles); stepson Paul Thomas Breeden Jr. (Cathy); sisters, Betty Hardin (Howard), Pat Hill (Jerry), Gloria Burgin (Robert), Laura Williams and Katherine Cook (Jerry); brothers, Carlo Houghton (Sue) and Ronnie Houghton (Karen); and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Friday.

HOUGHTON, CARL S. "CARLO," 70, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at University Hospital. He was a retired roofer and bartender. He was preceded in death by his son, David. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Mosby Houghton; a daughter, Beverly Jekel, of Ft. Worth, TX; a son, Tim Carlysle, of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Hardin (Howard), Pat Hill (Jerry), Gloria Burgin (Robert), Kitty Cook (Jerry) and Dee Dee Williams; a brother, Ronnie Houghton (Karen); many nieces; nephews; and a world of friends. His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bosse Funeral Home, Barret and Ellison Avenues, with burial in Calvary cemetery.

She is survived by her niece, Caitlin Mosby; nephew, Mike Mosby (Teri); great-nephew, Tyler; great-niece, Colleen; her caretaker, and sister-in-law, Cathy Lauersdorf; best friend, Linda Rosenbarger, friends, Cookie, Maggie, Betty, Diane, Sue and T. D.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
