Survivors include his wife. Laura N; two sons. Robert of Syracuse. N.Y., and Alfred of West Coxsackie, N.Y; one brother. Elgar of Bradford, Ont.. Canada; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Biography

Was a bicycle racer in high school. He attended a seminary in USA and was ordained a minister in the Methodist Church in upper NY state. He served with the US Army in the 1914-1918 war with the YMCA. Served in many churches in upper NY state. On retirement moved to Florida and became, among other things, a taxi driver.⁶

Attended Victoria College at Univ. of Toronto. About 1912 went west and taught in Pense Sask. at Earl Grey school. Returned to Toronto to get his BA and then, as he did not want to take the ordination vows of the Methodist Church went to Regina and went to Normal School. Taught at Pense again and went to Scott Collegiate in Regina in 1923. Taught there (Latin & History) until 1950. After retirement taught with ICS for 5 years. Started schoolboy curling in Regina and took teams all across Canada. Wrote a book on curling rules and regulations.
