Mr. Houghten in survived by his wife, Ardith Houghten; two sons, William A. Houghten and his wife Ruth Ann of Elsie and James R. Houghten of Flippin; four grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Donald and Cynthia Houghten, and one sister, Pearl Smithson of Clawson, Mich.
He wan preceded in death by a great-grandson.
