Marshall S. Houghton, 69, Gallatin, died last night at a St. Joseph hospital, where he had been a patient several days. He was released last Wednesday from the Chillicothe hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viva Houghton of the home; four sons, Donald Houghton and Richard Houghton, both of Kansas City; Howard Houghton, St. Joseph, and Ben Houghton of the home; a daughter, Marsha Houghton of the home, and a brother, Leland Houghton, Gallatin.

Richard Scott Houghton Sr., 61, of 3344 Summit St., died Saturday at St. Mary s Hospital. He was born in Gallatin, Mo., and had lived in Kansas City most of his life Mr Houghton worked for the U.S. Postal Service and then for the Federal Aviation Administration before he retired. He leaves four sons, Richard Houghton Jr., Marshall Ben Houghton, Terry Jay Houghton and Patrick Houghton of Kansas City; two brothers, Donald Houghton, Mission, and Howard Houghton, Hutchinson, Kan; and seven grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a m Saturday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin.
