DURAND ~ Earl M. Haughton, Durand and Pecatonica area farmer all his life, died Wednesday morning in a Rockford hospital.
He was born April 18, 1889, at Pecatonica the son of Lewis and Viola Bowerman Haughton. Ha married Mable Wagner of Rockford.
Surviving are his wife; five sons, Russell and James of Durand, Chester of Pecatonica, William of Rockford, and Richard of Phoenix, Ariz; a brother, Willard, and a sister, Mrs. Zora McCornock, both of Pecatonica; and 13 grandchildren. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Chapin Funeral Home, the Rev. Ramon A. Runkle, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pecatonica Cemetery.
