Daisy C. (Keehlwetter) Houghton, 89, of 23 Maple St., a retired employee of William E. Wright Co. in West Warren, died Monday at Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer.

She retired in 1965.

Born in Boston, she moved to this town as a child, and lived here the rest of her life.

She was a member of Warren Federated Church and its Afternoon Circle and Women's Guild.

She was also a member of Warren Grange 189, Springfield Pomona Grange 12, Alpha-Rebekah Lodge 84, the Senior Citizens Bowling League, and the Council on Aging.

Her husband, Edgar Houghton, died in 1953.

She leaves three sons, John of Ware, and Henry and Herbert of Warren; four daughters, Louise Dickinson of Brimfield, and Catherine Carbonneau, Jean Burnham and Barbara Morin of Warren, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Another son, James, died in 1939.

The funeral will be Thursday morning at Warren Federated Church, with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are this afternoon and evening at Doherty Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Heart Association, 23 Midstate Drive, Auburn, 01501.
