Proprietor of Houghton's Inn at Lime Ridge, Funeral at Plymouth
Harold R. Houghton, 41, son ol Harvey Houghton, well known former restaurant proprietor of Plymouth, died at 7:35 last night in Bloomsburg State Hospital after a lingering illness.
Mr. Houghton was born at Turbotvllle, Pa., and lived at Plymouth the greater part of his life. He left Plymouth six years ago and established the Houghton Inn at Lime Ridge. He was a member of the First .Presbyterian Church, Plymouth, the Wilkes-Barre Lodge of Elks and the Bloomsburg Lodge of Moose. For years Mr. Houghton was interested in sports. He was former owner and manager of the Plymouth Basketball Team of the old New York-Penn State League.
In addition to his father, who made his home with his son at Lime Ridge, he is survived by his wife, the former Anna Jones of Wilkes-Barre; two children, Glenda and Billy, both at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Ford of Plymouth and Laura of Stroudsburg.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 from the funeral home, 114 West Main Street, Plymouth, with Rev. Mark Herman, pastor of the Evangelical Church of Espy, officiating. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. For years Mr. Houghton was in-|
