Houghton, Sandra L. 5/25/1941 - 5/14/2016 Addison Sandra Houghton, age 74 of Addison, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her home. She was born on May 25, 1941, in Addison, Michigan to Charles E. and Ruby M. (Swander) Brown. She married Kenneth G. Houghton on July 25, 1959, in Adrian, Michigan, and he survives. Sandra lived in the Addison area all her life. She graduated from Addison High School in 1959. She was employed at the former Addison Hospital as a Ward Clerk and Surgical Technician. She then worked at the former Addison Bariatrics Treatment Center in Medical Records and then was presently employed at Ypsilanti Bariatrics Center. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Addison, where she was involved in many Kingdom Hall activities. She enjoyed shopping, antiquing, gardening and crocheting. Surviving beside her husband Ken are three sons; David (Sue) Houghton, Don (Lisa) Houghton, Dan and his friend Laura Houghton, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters; Betty Cascarelly, Judy (Keith) Houghton all from Addison, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother in law; Nick Cascarelly. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Elder Harley Karmol officiating. Burial will be made in Hillside Cemetery in Addison. The visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Addison. ADDISON - David G. Houghton, age 56, of Addison passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at his home.

David was born on July 16, 1960, in Addison, Mich., to Kenneth G. and Sandra Lee (Brown) Houghton. He married Susan R. Martinez on March 25, 1987, in Adrian, Mich., and she survives. He lived in Addison all his life, where he graduated from Addison High School in 1979. David was employed as a lean analyst for Tenneco Litchfield for 22 years. He was a former member of the Addison Fire Department for several years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved playing cards and playing softball. David was co-captain of the Hillsdale Relay for Life.

Surviving, besides his wife, Susan, are two daughters, Jamie Lynn (Shaun) Laurie of Jerome, and Jessie Sue (Josh) Skeels of Tecumseh; one granddaughter, Carsyn Jai Skeels; his father, Kenneth G. Houghton of Addison; two brothers, Don (Lisa) Houghton of Addison, and Danny (Laura) Houghton of Addison; aunts; uncles; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his father- and mother-in-law, Abel (Helen) Martinez of Adrian. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Lee Houghton.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Edward Soto and Terry Meinka officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial of his ashes will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Addison at a later date.
