| Biography | There is some confusion here. I will have to ask my cousin Richard to help me sort it out. I have date of death as 8 October 1856, but my cemetery records say ( Grave 1047 Overleigh ) "Description: Elizabeth Snelson Daughter of William & Margaret Snelson Age: 9 mths Address: Handbridge Parish: St Mary on the Hill Date of Death: 04/11/1856 Date of Burial: 08/11/1856 Grave Number: P1047 Page Number: 88 Consecrated: True Cemetery Register: DCE/1/1 Running Number: 1912" So I have different dates of death. The data gathered by Richard on Wednesday 29 March confirms the date of death as 31 October 1856. Secondly, Richard's St. Mary Baptisms show Elizabeth dau of William and Margaret Snelson, cowkeeper, Handbridge, bapt. 2 Oct 1853 ! I just wonder whether we have two families here ? Or perhaps, just two daughters with the same name ? |
