The marriage of Edna Marguerite, daughter and Mrs. Geo. H. Patterson, of Shelburne, to Mr. Frank A. Hartwick, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hartwick, of Orangeville, took place in Trinity United Church, Shelburne, on Saturday, October 14th, 1944, with Rev. H. 0. Hutcheson officiating, Mrs. J. C. Stoddart played the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory brocaded satin. Her floor length net veil was arranged with a headdress of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of red roses and maidenhair. fern. Attending the bride was her sister, Miss Rhoda Patterson, as maid of honor, in a floor length blue, dress with shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of bronze and yellow 'mums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Dorothy Bowers, of Violet Hill, and Mrs. Kathleen Seyeau, of Toronto, the former in a floor length pink dress and the latter in a floor length mauve dress. Both wore shoulder length veils and carried bouquets of bronze and yellow 'mums and maidenhair fern. ye The little flower girl, Miss Jewel Hartwick, sister of the groom, wore a yellow floor length dress and carried a basket of bronze and yellow 'mums and maidenhair fern. Best man was Mr. Wilfred Hermon, of Barrie, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Messrs. Herbert Patterson, of Barrie, and Berridge Patterson, of Shelburne.
At the reception the bride's mother received in fuchsia and the groom's mother in lilac, wearing corsages of roses. A light beige dress, topped with a light beige coat and brown accessories, formed the bride's travelling costume she left on the wedding trip to Oshawa.
