Four Attendants For Miss Turnell
     ALLENE JOAN TURNELL had a foursome of attendants at her marriage Saturday night in Christ Church Cathedral to LORNE JAMES McADIE. Very Rev. Dean Cecil Swanson, DD, who officiated at the nuptials, also proposed the bridal toast at the reception at Hotel Georgia.
     A pearl-trimmed coronet held the lengthy veiling falling over the bridal gown of traditional pearl satin. Matron of honor, Mrs. Graham Whidden, was frocked in blue and bridesmaid Arlie Smith in pink. White organdie flower-girl dresses were worn by Carol and Donna Bonthour.
     Mary Lewis was soloist, Vernon McAdie the bestman, and Robert Turnell and John Dunn ushered.1

     In the obituary of Robert Edwin Turnell who died 26 October 1990, his brother-in-law, Jim McAdie, of Shawnigan Lake, was listed as a survivor.5

     Joseph Turnell died on 22 June 1967 at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 74 according to B.C. Death Registration 1967-09-008348. He was an electrical mechanic for electrical contractors, who had last worked in 1961.1 The informant on his death registration was his nephew, R. E. Turnell.2
     Joe Turnell worked for Miss Brown, who owned the Arlington Hotel in Asquith from 1912 to 194x. He may have been her nephew according to the memroies of one hotel resident. He is included in an early picture (about 1925) of patrons in front of the hotel in the Asquith local history book.3

     Annie Elizabeth Fiday was buried at Delisle Catholic Cemetery (old), Delisle, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada.6

JOSEPH HENRY GESY
     The death of Joseph Henry Gesy, aged 76 years, of Delisle, occurred in Saskatoon lust night. Mr. Gesy was an oldtlmer in his district, having come there first In 1903 from Iowa. Until 1912, when he took up permanent residence In Delisle, he divided his time between the district and Iowa. He farmed on a large scale at Delisle. and owned farms at Watson and at Fonda, Iowa. Eight years ago lie was predeceased by his daughter, Myrtle. He leaves his widow and two daughters, Mrs. E. W. Delisle of Edmonton, and Mrs. J. K. Cooper, of Delisle; three sons, Henry at Delisle. Edward at Elrose, and Fred H Fonda. The body will be taken from Campbell's Limited to the family residence, where it will rest until the funeral to be held Tuesday morning from Si. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Delisle.1
