     The following selected information is extracted from the obituary of Josiah Wilkins.
     Josiah Wilkins was buried on 12 August 1951 at Asquith Cemetery, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada.3,8 Alternatively, he may have been born circa 1967 at England according to the1921 census.2
     Josiah and Hannah Wilkins appeared on the 1911 British Census of England, at Beach Farm, Feltham, Frome Civil Parish, Somerset, enumerated 2 April 1911, described as a farm labourer. Their children Muriel, Kate and Hilda were listed as living with them. Their daughters, Lena Wilkins and Amy Amelia Wilkins were respecctivley described as a cook and a general domestic servant in local households. Their son, Robert Henry Wilkins was described as a patient in Victoria Hospital, Frome.5,9,10 Josiah and Hannah Wilkins immigrated in 1912 to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, from England, accompanied by Lena, Amy, Muriel, Kate, Robert and Hilda.11

Wilkins, of Asquith, was listed as the father of the groom in the marriage of Robert Henry Wilkins and Queen Victoria McCurdy on 2 March 1927.12

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 29. at 1 30 p.m., from the Anglican Church at Asquith. Park Funeral Chapel will be in charge. Surviving are her widower. Mr .J. Wilkins, one son, Robert Henry of Victoria, B C; tour daughters, Lena Wilkins of Selkirk, Man, Mrs. Kate Poole of Zealandia: Mrs. Muriel Gordon and Mrs. Hilda Beirness, both of Asquith; one brother, Benjiman Hughes of Saskatoon; twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren Mrs, Wilkins had resided in Asquith for the past thirty years and in Saskatoon for four years before moving to Asquith. Interment in Asquith Cemetery, No flowers requested.2

     A quiet wedding took place Wednesday. March 2, at 3 o'clock, at Parkview Presbyterian Church, when Miss Queen Victoria McCurdy, youngest daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. R J. McCurdy, 1413 Avenue E. North became the bride of Mr. Robert Henry Wilkins, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilkins, of Asquith. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Wm. Patterson. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was wearing a beautiful gown of powder blue geogette brocaded in silver and with a becoming picture hat to match and silver brocaded shoes. She carried an exquisite boquet (sic) of roses, carnations and ferns. Miss Jennie McCurdy, a bridesmaid, wore silver gray georgette, with hat and shoes to match and carried a spray of carnations and ferns. Little Audrey Woodsides (sic), of Asquith, in a dainty frock of orchid georgette over peach satin, was the flower girl and carried the ring in a basket of roses and daffodils.
     Mr. Philip Lake, of Asquith, performed the duties of best man.
     To the strains of the Bride Chorus from Lohengrin played by Mrs. Patterson, the bridal party entered the church end stood before a bank of flowers.
     During the signing of the register, Mrs. F. E. Woodside, of Asquith, sang moat effectively "The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden." After the ceremony the bridal party and guests repaired to the home of the bride's parents where a dainty supper was served. The rooms were lavishly decorated with roses, carnations and daffodils.1

     He was born on 31 May 1859 at Germany.1,2 Ferdinand married Ann Siebert at Germany.2,3
     Ferdinand William Schmidt died on 9 September 1935 at Eganville, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 76 according to Ontario Death Registration 029939.1 The informant on his death registration was his wife. His parents were identified as Lebrecht Schmidt and Henrietta Stelter.1
     
     Ferdinand William Schmidt was buried on 11 September 1935, probabaly in Grace Lutheran Cemetery at Eganville, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.1,3
     He was also known as Ferdinand Smith in the 1901 census.2
     Ferdinand and Anna Smith appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Eganville, Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a Lutheran and a farmer. Their daughter Lenna was listed as living with them. His father, Lebrecht Smith was included in the household.2
     The following obituary appeared in the newspaper The Ottawa Citizen published in Ottawa, Ontario 11 September 1935:
F. W. SCHMIDT
     EGANVILLE. Ont. Sept, 11.--Ferdinand William Schmidt passed away at his home here Monday after a lengthy illness. He came to Canada 51 years ago and settled on a farm at Mud Lake and later came to Eganville where he remained till his death.
     He married Ann Siebert in Germany. He leaves his widow, one sister. Mrs. Wm. Tank of Eganville. two brothers. Herman Schmidt of Eganville and August of North Dakota.
     The funeral will be held to the Grace Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.3
