The funeral of Arthur F. Barnes, president of the Manufacturers' Bank & Trust Co. and the St. Louis Clearing House Association, will be Thursday at 3 p. m. at the C. Hoffmeister undertaking establishment, 6464 Chippewa street, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Barnes, who died yesterday of a heart ailment at Deaconess Hospital, was 61 years old and lived at 425 Algonquin place, Webster Groves. Before becoming associated with the Manufacturers' Bank in 1934, he had been connected with the Mercantile-Commerce Bank & Trust Co., and its predecessor, the Mercantile Trust Co. for 26 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ivy Barnes, and a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Shannon.10
