William was born on 14 July 1880 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.3,4,5
He died on 5 July 1903 in St. Louis, Missouri, at age 22.2 He was buried circa 6 July 1903 in Old Saint Marcus Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, USA.1
The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
It appears that William should NOT have been included in the 1880 census. Instructions on the enumeration form state "Children BORN SINCE June 1, 1880, will be OMITTED.

The enumeration occurred on Nov 11th, 1880, well after the June 1, 1880 enumeration date. In it, William is listed as being 4/12 months old, so born about July 1880 (computing from the Nov date.) This is in line with his stated birth date on his death certificate.

If guidelines had been followed correctly, his age would mean he was born in about Feb. 1880 which is not consistent with the above mentioned death certificate.6

Census Data

William appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of St. Louis, Missouri in the household of his parents, Edward W Hilgeman and Mary Hilgeman.5

William appeared on the 1900 U.S. Federal Census of St. Louis, Missouri, in the household of James H Eisenhour and Addie Eisenhour, listed as a laborer.3

Her father had a younger sister, Ivy, who married Arthur Barnes, so this information appears to be somewhat accurate. However, all census records to 1930 give her surname has Paris and her aunt Ivy's obituary refers to her as a niece.5
