     In the obituary of Rev. Dr. T. W. Douglas who died 6 November 1926, his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Hemphill of Uniontown, PA, was listed as a survivor.10
     Mrs. Samuel Hemphill was referenced in a newspaper article about the birthday weekend of Mrs. T. W. Douglas published on 6 June 1932.11

     In the obituary of Frances Douglas who died 9 August 1943, her ste-daughter, Mrs. Samuel Hemphill was listed as a survivor.4
     The following obituary appeared The Morning Herald published in Uniontown, Pennsylvania 19 June 1945:

     Rites In Asbury Church Wednesday
     Funeral services for Mrs. Ada G. Hemphill, wife of Samuel E.Hemphill, will be held at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Asbury Methodist church with Dr. Francis E. Kearns officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery under the direction of J. Harry Johnston and Sons. The casket will be removed to the church at 3 o'clock.
     Mrs. Hemphill died in her home, 161 South Beeson avenue, at 7:30 Monday morning, June 18, 1945.
     Born June 8. 1883, in Dixonburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Thomas W. and Mary Emory Douglas.

Jeanette was adopted she was bout 2 yrs old when they took her; her father died and they were very poor, so her mother put Jeanette and her sister up for adoption, she had a wonderful home with my grandparents and they used her the same as the rest of their family....Jeanette's sister was a Mrs. Parks of Thornbury.2
