The following obituary appeared in the newspaper the Leader-Post published in Regina, Saskatchewan 19 April 2000 :
RENNICK
On Monday, April 17, 2000 Marguerite Coral Rennick passed away at the age of 90. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Patricia Jane, in 1949 and by her husband Dr. William Coulter Rennick in 1963. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Karen Joseph (Bill) of Chicago and grandchildren Peter and Tom; son Dennis (Gail) of Ottawa and grandchildren Christine (Scott Hamilton), Sally (Brian Roy) and great-grandaughter (sic) Jessica Hamilton; daughter Barbara Beare (Dale) of Regina and grandchildren, Jamey, Michael, and Adam. Marguerite was born in Lawton, North Dakota in 1909 and, as an infant, emigrated to Saskatchewan with her family where they homesteaded south of Lancer. She was educated in the immediate area and then met and married Coulter "Doc" Rennick in December 1935. They lived in Abbey and Nokomis where Coulter had his medical practice. They moved to Regina in 1942 when Coulter went into practice with Dr. E.K. Sauer and thereafter became a founding member of the Medical Arts Clinic in Regina. Marguerite was a member of the Daughters of Nile and enjoyed her association with the Wa Wa Shrine Club throughout the years that Coulter was involved in the Divan and subsequently Potentate in 1962. They met and made many good friends through their association with the Shrine. Three years ago Marguerite brok her hip and was no longer able to remain in her own home. At that time she moved into a private care home. It was a difficult move but one that she faced with courage and dignity. Throughout, she enjoyed visits and phone calls from friends and family. Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 20, 2000 at 1:00p.m. in Lakeview United Church, 3200 McCallum Ave., Regina with Rev. David Hoffman officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations in Marguerite's memory to a charity of choice or to the Wo Wa Shrine Patient Travel Fund, 2165 Hamilton Street, Regina, S4P 2E1. This fund has been established to assist parents and guardians of children requiring the special services of Shrine Hospitals across North America. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services. (306) 522-4433
