     Thomas McTaggart appeared on the1901 British Census of at Greenock, at Renfrewshire, Scotland, in the household of his parents, Thomas McTaggart and Charlotte McTaggart.5
     He also went by the name of Tom.6 Thomas McLachlan McTaggart emigrated on 10 April 1909 from Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, on board the Hesperian. He was sent from Quarrier's Orphan Homes of Scotland.7 He immigrated on 18 April 1909 to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a final destination of Brockville, ON.7 Hewas listed as a groomsman in the marriage of Alexander Clifford and Pearl Adelaide Seed on 7 March 1933.8
     Tom McTaggart was a pallbearer in the funeral of his father-in-law, Frank Denzin on 27 May 1939.6
