     She was commonly known as Granny Dee.13
     Bernadie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census Crow Creek, Hughes County, South Dakota in the household of her parents, Jesse and Edna Leetch.6
     In the obituary of Jesse Leetch who died 28 September 1940, his daughter, Bernadine Bessie Leetch of Monroe City, Texas, was listed as a survivor.14
     Bernadine Christian was referenced, but not by name, in the obituary of her mother, Edna Faye Griffith, who died 12 June 1984.15
     On Feb 20, 2010, friends and relatives gathered in the Clever Creek Baptist Church fellowship hall to celebrate Granny Dee's 90th birthday. Brandon Alford had just returned from his Korean posting on Feb 14th, and was able to attend, en route to his Staff Officer School training in Alabama. The rest of the Moffat and Alford clans also attended.13
