Their children Thomas, Mary A, John W, Frederick and Young C J A were listed as living with them.5

William Michael and Susannah Michael appeared on the 1871 British Census of England, at North Somercotes, Lincolnshire, enumerated 7 April 1871, enumerated as a cattle drover and cottager. Their children Fredrick, Young C J A and George A were listed as living with them. As well his father-in-law, Charles Johnson; grandson, William Dickinsen and his unmarried "daur-in-law," Mary Ann Leak were included in the household

I believe that listing Mary Ann as his daughter-in-law indicates she was his step-daughter.7
