Answering a call to Allen avenue and Patzmar: street Saturday night, Police Officers Darnell and Dupin reported they found Roland Haughton, negro, of ill Pine street, tying on the sidewalk, injured. The negro told the officers that he had been attacked and beaten by two other negroes, but could give no description of them. the officers said, was cut five times about the head and body. He was taken to Charity hospital for treatment. A. P. Gardner, 23, negro, of 1056 Christian street was shot in the right leg during an argument with Jack Holm, negro, 1036 Christian street, Saturday night. No charges were filed in the case, police reported.
