MaryJane Losh, 10/30/27 - 05/24/2011, resident of Millbrae, died peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter, Catherine. Surrounded by her son, Richard and beloved daughter in law, Ivy. Also there was Elsie Sumner who was a friend to MJ for many years and Ivy's mother who has lived in the islands with them for four years. MaryJane died at home in Hilo, Hi. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard Sr. who passed away September 4, 2009. MaryJane was born in San Mateo in 10/30/1927,moving to the island of Oahu at the age of 3 with her mother Harriet Thompson and her brother Hanky. Attending St. Andrews Priory before moving to the island of Maui, where she, her mother and brother lived happily in Paia. It was the happiest time in her young life. When she was living and going to school on the island of Kauai, World War II broke out, and MaryJane was sent to Seattle, Washington where she would be attending the Annie Wright Seminary in Tacoma, Wa. Hanky, her beloved brother was killed in Germany as a paratrooper one month before the wars end. He was 19 years old. MaryJane married Richard Losh in 1949. She started her family and lived in Millbrae for 52 years .After her family was raised, in retirement she worked tirelessly as a demo lady for Costco in Redwood City. She leaves behind her daughter Catherine Bain of Hilo, son Richard Losh jr. and daughter in law Ivy of Hilo, Hi. Her darling granddaughters Heather Bain of San Carlos, Ca., Laura Bain of Atwater, Ca., and the brightest spot in her world, her precious great granddaughter Holly Jane of San Carlos. She also leaves behind her favorite nephew Andrew Losh of Eureka, Ca. She is survived by numerous friends. Her dearest friends are Peggy Mullins, Stephanie TeKrony, Marion Garcia and her neighbor for life Patty Gekas. MaryJane touched the lives of everyone she met. Full of love for life, energy and encouragement, her wonderful spirit, sense of humor, infectious laugh and her incredible outlook on life. She was so generous, kind ,loving and hysterically funny. She would do anything to help anybody. She was also a fairy godmother to many. We love you mom and will do everything we can to continue to make you proud of us and live our lives by your example. She married Dennis J. Walker on March 14, *1987 in Howell, Michigan. Debbie was a homemaker and earned an associate degree while attending college. She enjoyed cro- cheting, yoga, and studying and practicing the Buddhist faith. She is survived by her husband Dennis: three children, Jennell Hill of Howell, Justin (Amanda) Haughton of Howell, and Jocelyn (William) Mack of Brighton; two grandchil- dren, Chelsee Pool and Robert Hill; a step brother, Monty Denton of California; a step sister, Tracy Coddington of California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
