Jens Olden, 78, of Olympia, died Sunday in an Olympia nursing home. Mr. Olden was born in Oslo, Norway, and moved to the Ohop Valley near Eatonville when he was 16. He moved to Olympia a year ago. He was a carpenter and farmer most of his life. He was a charter member of the Ohop Grange and a member of the Veterans of World War I. Surving are his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Vormestrand, of Eatonville; a stepson, William Donahue, of Bandon, Ore; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Kathleen Reid, of Everett, Mrs. Frances Koher, of Glenoma, Mrs. Patricia Parker, of Olympia, and Mrs. Marguerite Osborn, of Galvin; a brother, Hans, of Eatonville; a sister, Mrs. Olga Strickland, of Eatonville; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are announced Tuesday by Mills and Mills Funeral Home, Olympia.
