William Lambert and his wife are in the 1875 territorial census in Watonwan County. In the 1880 census they are in St. James, Watonwan, Minnesota with children Charles, Jennie and Wilfred.(Marion Jennie) In 1885 they are in the territorial census with an additional child, Harold. (known to me a Roy Harold) In 1895 they also have Vera.

Susan died in 1898. In the 1900 census William is with his daughter Marion and her husband in St. James. In 1910 he was with Roy in Silverdale, Kitsap, Washington. In 1920 he was with Charles in Quilcene, Jefferson, Washington. He died May 24, 1920 in Quilcene. (Washington death records and findagrave.com) buried in Quilcene.

Bev Cantrill: He was in the army in the Civil War. The record I found said he deserted, but my grandfather said he went back.

Biography

Bev Cantrill: Henry HOUGHTON was born in 1826 in New York. The 1850 census lists him in Kirkland, New York in a boarding house. In the 1860 census he is listed in Westfield, Wisconsin with his mother Rhoda Houghton. It gives his age as 35. The Civil War Draft Registration Record dated 1863 gives his age as 33. Civil War records show that Henry enlisted February 27, 1862 and served in the 7^th infantry from Wisconsin. He deserted. Charles Lambert said he reenlisted. I guess that’s what the 1863 record was all about. Charles said that Henry worked as a hack driver in New York for awhile and also as a stage driver. Henry married Louisa Anna Baker. They had a daughter Marion Louise. According to Charles Lambert there was a second daughter.
