Malcolm W Houghton. 71, who had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill for a year, died Saturday morning about 9 o'clock at his home. 348 Tenth Street He was a retired veneer salesman and had lived here since 1929. He was married lo Mrs Aileen Moore Smiley on September 14. 1929 He was born in New York City, a son of Charles O. and Eva I Lathrop Houghton. In addition to the widow, he is survived by three daughters by a former marriage. Mrs. Edward L. Atkins of NSU York. Mrs. I Feidler, Dayton. Ky._t and Mrs Bert George of Richland Township, and a step son. Gerald E. Smiley tif New Castle, and three step daughters, Mrs Betty DeJoumettc. Mrs Rosemary Miller and Mrs. Grace Springer, all of Washington, D. C., and 18 grandchildren Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Moster k Sons Mortuary, with burial in East Hill Cemetery.
