I spent the day in the Archives of Montgomery county, PA researching this one of my forefathers...It takes a long time and lots of patience, but so far I found that Nathan Jr. lists his mother as Sara Macolly, not Kate, although I do see her listed in the census as his wife at some point in time. When I found his obituary for Nathan Sr. his wife is listed as survived but not named. He is listed having 5 children, Maud Macolly Rynick of Wilmington De.,Nathan, Lacey, Frank and Pearl all of Norristown. I need to find more on Sara, but ran out of energy at the Historical Assn. It is not very organized and we are dealing with volunteers. But I am excited by the work you have done and I did see the Houghton name on one of the Marriage certificates.

SUNBURY - Fleming J. Houghton. 71, of 528 S. Front St. died in nis home Thursday morning of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Born in Sunbury, July/12, 1917, he was a son of the late Frederick P and Louise ( Moeller) Houghton He was 1929 graduate of Sunbury High School. He was a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central and Conrail. He retired in 1978 after 39 years of service.
He was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, Sunbury; Masonic lodge. Sunbury; Buffalo Rod and Gun Club; Railroad Retirees Association, Sunbury; Moose lodge. Northumberland; and a life member of the Americus Hose Company. Sunbury. Mr. Houghton is survived by his wife, the former Ruth G. Willard, to whom he was married for 49 years; two sons, Fred W. of Dauphin and Robert L. of Rochester, N.Y; and six grandchildren.
